Hi, I'm Rob Balder (the "dot com" is a reminder). Welcome to the home page for my audio and musical comedy. "Rich Fantasy Lives" is my first-ever album. It contains a selection of seven parodies and one original song (the title track), with music by filk Grand Master Tom Smith. It also features "Sympathy for George Lucas," a parody which takes the ultimate Devil's Advocate position in fandom, and which has been heard on the nationally syndicated Doctor Demento show. "For Amusement Only" is my recently-released second CD. You'll find more (and more refined) musical content on this one, but as the title suggests, nothing too serious. For this one I recruited not only Tom, but also my friend ShoEboX of Worm Quartet for musical help. ShoEboX lends his vocal comedy to "Don't Shoot," a song about paintball. And my friend Rachel Thurston joins me for a lovey-dovey duet about the extinction of humanity, "Cylons on the Screen." Each CD is $15 +s&h.
